PROJECT SOLUTIONS

J.C. Higgins HVAC services included installation of commercial heating and cooling systems such as 9,000 tons of centrifugal chillers, 160 air handling units, as well as more than 1,400 feet of 30-inch and 2,100 feet of 24-inch pipe with 85,000 inches of welding.

To complete this HVAC and mechanical systems installation project on an accelerated 10-month schedule, J.C. Higgins used fast-track mechanical construction methods that required two full-time shifts and over 100 pipefitters.

CLIENT BACKGROUND

EMC is a leading supplier of intelligent enterprise storage system and software solutions. This unique 680,000 square-foot facility contains both manufacturing and office space. It had some complicated requirements. Temperature changes in its Sybil rooms, for instance, fluctuate between 35°F and 115°F on a daily basis.
